What is WPC Decking?

WPC Decking is a composite floor covering intended for outdoor use. WPC (wood-plastic composite) is an abbreviation for composite material that contains impurities of wood, chalk, plastic, additives, and UV protectors. To obtain a quality composite, it is necessary to find the right formula, ie. the amounts of ingridients seek an ideal ratio. The use of plastic increases elasticity, chalk is responsible for additional strength, while the use of wood ensures that the aterial is natural and warm to the touch. By using special additives, the material is particularly resistant to all atmospheric influences such as sunshine, rain, snow and changes in the temperature, ranging from -25℃ to +50℃. With high resistance to wear and mechanical damages, WPC has a natural look reminiscent of exotic wood species. Thanks to its modern design, resistance and durability, WPC decking is the most sought after floor for outdoor use, which has put common types of flooring aside.

Application of Savadeck WPC Decking

The Savadeck offer consists of Classic, Natur and Premium series of composite decking floors intended for private and commercial use. The Classic and Natur series are designed for cladding terraces, family buildings, summerhouses, private swimming pools and rafts, roof terraces and all other low or medium-frequency areas. The Premium series is a choice to the growing demand for decking floors in public areas, such as parks, town squares, marinas, swimming pools, spas and gardens, catering facilities and all high-frequency areas.

Natural look

The Savadeck WPC floors have an accentuated relief and a doubtlessly depicted wood structure. In terms of composition, they are mostly made of natural materials, so they leave a very pleasant impression to the touch.

High resistance to wear

Savadeck floors are made of composites whose strength is several times higher than natural materials. They are recommended for frequent facilities, such as catering gardens, marinas, docks, swimming pools and public areas.

Resistant to external influences

WPC or Wooden decking – what’s a better solution?

The most common dilemma of our customers is related to this issue, and our choice would be WPC floor which, in relation to wood, are not subject to decay due to direct exposure to rain, Sun or snow. They have a greater mechanical resistance and strength, don’t require additional maintenance, ie. varnishing and painting, and are a completely ecological product that protects our forests.

What is the lifespan of WPC decking?

Depending on the manufacturer, installation method and conditions of use, WPC decking can last from several years to several decades. Savadeck WPC floors have a warranty period of 2 to 10 years, and laboratory tests and our numerous years of experience in the production and installation of decking floors makes Savadeck have a lifespan of over 20 years.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty refers to the uninterrupted use of composite material on open surfaces, firstly in the means of mechanical properties of the composite, ie. resistance to breakage and puncture under regular use. The warranty also covers resistance to external influences, ie. rot and insect attacks.

Can WPC decking be placed on any groundwork?

With proper preparation, it is possible to install WPC decking on any type of groundwork, such as earth, sand, asphalt, concrete base, behaton, ceramic tiles, hydro-isolation or pre- existing lattice structures. Contact our technical support for more information.

Can I install WPC decking on my own?

If you have all the necessary tools and basic technical experience, using the Savadeck system and technical instructions as well as our technical support, it’s possible to independently and successfully implement your decking project.
